Heat cords works the same way as heat mats , they are just cheaper and more versatile .
You could just sit your cage on top of the cord , or like i do rout a groove in the base of the cage and run the cord through it .
I have heard of people putting them into the cages and using tiles on top of them .
Make sure you dont cross the cord over itself .
