Young Mac's are only tiny so you wouldn't need anything huge, mine is about 3 months old and still comfortable in a something like 20cm long 10 cm wide click clack. As for holes you just want enough to ventilate theres no certain number.
Contemplating moving him into a bigger one soon i have one that i stick him in just while i clean his out but the lid doesn't click on it just sits there and i'm sure he could push it off if i left him in it full time, anyone know a way to solve this or will i just have to buy another?
