I prefer to keep them in reasonable sized enclosures and upsize them as they need it. Gives me time to sort out bigger enclosures anyway. I certainly wouldn't recommend putting a hatchy in a 6x2x2.
By the same token, my enclosure are (usually) a bit bigger than is absolutely required, just not relatively massive.
