Heat cords

Just a stupid question about heat cords - I am setting up my click clack for at hatchie due soon and I've just bought a few of those adhesive cord clips to run it under the outside of the base.

The clips are obviously designed for a thicker cord and I can double up the cord in each clip. As the cord is quite long, I was planning to zigzag it back and forth a few times under the warm end of the click clack. Will that cause any probs (ie overheating of the cord or something?) I have no idea of electrics etc so please be patient with me!
