Yeha they eat almost anything.
It really depends on the enclosure design, amount of ventilation etc, whether or not the water bowl is ok to leave in the enclosure but probably best to only offer it water weekly until you figure out the humidity.
My pair breed fairly consistantly, babies are born in March-April for me.
