I use the Red Desert Sand from the pet shop for my geckos. I like it (as i am sure my geckos do) because when it gets sprayed with water, the top becomes quite crusty and my knob tails love burrowing underneath it. The washed sand doesn't do that.
Also, i bought a bag in the past and when i opened the bag i found it damp and smelt bad, it also had white little crawly things in it. I have used it a few times but didn't have an issue any other time but this one bag.
