Thanks AuzLizardKing, I had read the frog mansion and in fact was inspired to consider building something of my own. Isn't it awesome? Thanks for offering to build me something -- unfortunately I live in Adelaide and it's a long way from Melbourne not to mention expensive to freight.

Hello to Tadpoles, fellow Adelaide froggy person! Thanks for the your wisdom on WLTF. Now that I know about the high fatality rate, I hope I get some taddies to frog stage. Also greatly relieved that I don't have to rush to provide them with a big tank for a while. I thought they'd grow really fast, based on my experience with my 3 GTF which are growing incredibly fast, far outgrowing the RETF. I've had my tadpoles for 4 weeks now and they developed limb buds only a few days ago. I know that they can morph faster if I heat their water to 30C, but was reluctant to do that until I had their tank ready. They are currently in a turtle tank, in 1.5 inches of water for now, with a rock for land. Do you think I should heat the water and hurry them along?

Grass tree frog = oops I think I meant Leaf Green Tree Frog (Litoria nudidigitus), but still not completely sure. The pet store sold him to us as a "green" Brown Tree Frog, and in fact gave it to my son Michael as a freebie. The frog is tiny, very slender, varies from metallic lime green to olive colour. It is a great jumper, which is why his name is Lightning.

Hi tann-mann, paludariums rock! I am pondering a frog mansion myself, and that is a possibility now that I know I have more time up my sleeve. Looks like I will have 1 year or more, based on tadpoles' advice.
