I like the basking spot a bit hotter.
I like the cool end about 24 ish during the day [ months of feeding. ]
At night, room temp. is fine - never drops below 20deg's.
When cooling, the hot spot temp. never changes.
I just change the the spot light from 40w to 60w to get the required temps.
At night, in the middle of winter, temps have dropped down to 12 deg.
Has never seemed to worry them. All girls and boy's bred without a worry and produced nice healthy hatchies

Obviously, in cooler climates, you may need to add extra heating here or there to get the desired temps.
In Very hot climates, A/C is needed to keep room temperatures at a healthy level.
