I use Thai containers, (small salad containers). They are round and same height as chinese containers, but i cut a hole in the top of the lid leaving a 1cm lip around the edge so the snake still gets in has a drink but stops spillages when opening and closing tubs
Probably a hassle for some people but i find it easy.
