Hay mate. There is a rule of thumb. Feed them food the size of the space between their eyes to avoid impaction. Usually as infants they will only eat live insects. They are really attracted to the movement. It took me around 3 to 4 months to get my bubs to eat a decent amount of veggies so I could take them off live insects. I just started by offering veggies every day or two. Bright coloured fresh with something sweet on top. I use squash (the bright yellow one), with some leafy greens (like fresh basil leaves, hibiscus leaves, alphalfa sprouts, or a small amount of fancy lettuce), cooked sweet potato, or green beans. Then i cut up a small amount of nectrine or strawberries to put on top. They usually will come up and lick it out of interest. Once they realise its food they run up to the glass when they see their food bowl. There is an awesome beardie food guide available online ill find the link.
