Question Childrens Python not eating

Hello All,
I have a beautiful 2 yr old childrens python. Until recently he has been a very keen feeder , however he has now refused to eat for about 3 weeks and recoils from the mice when offered. I feed adult mice that are thawed and warmed as i always have. He seems to be very healthy and has no sign of mites. His enclosure has not changed except for a new heat lamp recently and is maintained at 30 degrees. His last few feeds before he refused to eat were much calmer then usual and we thought he was just calming down . Recently he has also started spending alot of the night hours actively moving around his tank and it would seem he is trying to escape? He lives in a 3 foot fish tank that has 3 side lined (to avoid heat loss) He has litter substrate and hiding log ang climbing stick. We are very worried so if any body can help it would be most appreciated. Could he be bored with eating mice only??
Thanks.
