I saw an older
Jungle the other day, approaching 8 years, and while her skin was not as bright as a young snake, she had a calm self assuredness and maturity, plus an enormous fat head (kind of liike me in my middle age).
This led me to ask the question, given pythons can live to 30 years, where are all the old snakes? I never see any pythons over about 6 years for sale. Is this because: the hobby is relatively new and there aren't many CB old boys and girls around, are people hanging on to them for breeding or are they dying young?
