Just switch off the heat at night, turn it on during the day and ensure he has access to a basking spot of 33-35 degrees during the time it is on (6-8 hours per day minimum). Don't feed him again until Spring as he won't be able to digest properly with the cold nights.

They don't hibernate; they brumate.
