If you let the snake settle in first (as this is your second snake, you should already know that) then it shouldn't be as agitated. Regular handling is pretty much the only way to do it. Some people have suggestted putting something with your smell in the enclosure, such as a sock (not worn all day - think of the snake! Lol) will help get the snake used to you and your smell. I've never done it, preferring to just handle them.

When you're handling your snake, just make sure it's facing away from you, so it has less chance of striking at you. Also, move slowly, never make any sudden moves, and if the snake somehow manages to focus in on something you definitely don't want bitten (ie. your face), move your hand or foot to get the snake's attention.
