A week should be fine to let them settle in. Handling a couple of times a week is a good idea although when handling you shouldn't be trying to control them just let them roam around you and check things out. Obviously if they are going somewhere the shouldn't then move them away. I don't personally see the harm in feeding in their enclosures as i handle my snakes more than they are fed so i (in my experiences) cant see why a snake would make that association, however alot of others do see their snakes having that mentality. So i guess if you find your snakes making that conection than you may want to start feeding out o9f their enclosures.
