G'day, i've recently acquired 2 hatchling ackies and i just have a few questions to ask to further my knowledge about theese wonderful animals. Atm i have them in a 2 foot tank with two hides on under basking spot and one in cooler end, water dish in cool end and a log in the middle it is on reptile sand (desert red sand). Im using a 75w infrared globe to heat the tank.

* Should i be worried about impaction since im using desert sand, i was guna use paper but figured theyd enjoy sand more?????

* Whats the ideal temperature there basking spot should be at????

* how often should i feed them and how much???

* IS there anything other then crickets i'd be able to feed them???

* I have the globe about and inch above the glass ontop of the tank should i worry about the glass overheating and breaking???

* is a 75w globe enough to satisfy there heat requirements????

Sorry about the questions im a newb at keeping lizards and want to get it right. IF anyone would be able to point me in the direction a care sheet on them please let me know.
Please post pics of your Ackie setups if you could?
and lastly would someone give me a rough description of how to build a heat stack?

EDit : Do i need to leave the heat on 24/7 or turn it down or off at night???
and with the 75w globe it only reaches upto 30 degrees in the basking spot im guesing ill need to up the wattage. Its a bummer though since i told the lady what i was keeping and thats what she gave me meh theese things happen.
