Children's python isn't eating! Need help!

I have a Male, 15 month old Childen's python. I had him in the backyard on the grass taking some photos and i was handling him most of the day, normally his fine with me handling before a feed. It was like he was scared of the mouse. His not getting ready to shed, he only just shed last Saturday. I have the tempreture between 27-31 and scence his only young im not going to put him into hybornation, well what i've read you should put snakes in hybornation before the mature. I tried putting the mouse in his enclosure. Should i just wait a couple of days and try again? or is there something else i can do in the mean time.

Hope someone can help, and whoever does, Thank you so much!!
