some populations of black headed monitors have been found at 3 foot lengths,thats 90 cm,ridgeys are your best bet to start with as well as gillens,2 excellent species,sandys are a handful,if u have been charged by hungry adult sandys for a feed,u will know what i mean,lol,also u dont need to give sandys 3 feet of sand to burrow in,i foot is ample for them to create burrows ect,3 feet of soil indoors would be a right pain in the butt,especiaaly if they lay eggs
