Not under the thumb by any means. My wife lost her Dad when she was nine, my little boy is five years old. Due to the unexpected secondary reaction after the bite, I think she has a more than valid point. In any case, she didnt insist I sell Otis - basically just stated that she would feel a little less worried if I stuck to non venomous pythons. My wife and I are a team, no one is under the thumb.
