I agree with hazz, if it could speak to you it would be telling you to get lost at the moment ..........keep it quiet and make it feel secure try again in a few days to a week ,get a plastic coated hanger and use that as a hook to lift out the snake once out place hands underneath never close your thumbs around the snake your hands are only a guide if your snake feels in control it will relax using any type of force like gripping with your hands will cause stress and the snake will most likely bite you, remember the slinkys thats the way with the snake it thinks it can get away ............and like hazz said short holding times will suit it better as it settles down you will be able to have it out for longer bursts but overall there is a chance you may get bit but thats part of owning a snake just make sure you post pics up we wanna see blood ...........goodluck RBB
