I noticed that someone had posted about overfeeding and it got me thinking about my snake and whether or not I am underfeeding.
He is a 2.5 year old Diamond python, 1.5m long. He nearly always looks hungry but I have been told that is a common trait for diamonds. He has 1 adult rat every 4 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks. I sometimes give him a med adult, sometimes a large adult. I try to mix things up a little bit to make it a bit more like the wild. What do you think? He looks healthy, has always shed well etc. I was told by the person that I got him off not to feed too often as people often get them too overweight. |
