Iv just got my 1st snake a few days ago and shes a beauty!
shes a coastal carpet python
really good temperament
spotteds and childrens pythons are a good choice also as they dont get so big
if you want something bigger then diamonds and bredli's are also good. If you dont have a tight budget there aslo black headed pythons.

for a start when they are small, you keep them in a small click-clack container, iv got mine in a 10litre one, as they feel more secure and less vulnerable being so small
when they are so small you feed them on small pinkie mice and slowly increase the size as they grow.
and you feed them frozen (dead, and thawed out) as it is illegal to feed them live.
you need a temperature gradient so it is around 30 degrees on one side and around 25 on the other so the snake can regulate its temperature.
Hope this helps.
good luck!
