hey, im in vic, have 3 crocs, alot of maintinance, not something you want to jump straight into if your not exsperienced, i would recommend seeing how you go with a monitor first. i first got a croc when i was 15 and was very unexsperienced, a salty just over a metre, i didnt know what i was getting myself into, ended up selling him a year later. i now have a salty about the same size, and a couple of freshy hatchlings, the freshies are good, only get to around 2-2.5 metres, so they are the smallest you can get in australia, an adult male salties can grow to 6 metres easily, and its thought they could get to 7 maybe even 8. if your just starting out with reptiles... pace yourself, start small and work your way up.
