I think you will find that most peoples problems with crossbreeding is the fact that they believe that the species should be kept pure (as i do myself). I don't think it is so much about the health issues caused (that's more debated when talking about inbreeding). Also what you are talking about with the fish, imbreeding, is a completely different topic... i don't think you can really compare the two in my opinion.
