Hi klit69. I have fed chicken necks to my
BHP and Bredli. For me they are only used as an alternative to rodents. The benefits are they are cheaper than rodents and chicken, when skin is removed, is lower in fat. They do not have the smorgasboard of nutrients that whole animals do. I believe that if they are used as a staple diet the animal will suffer in someway. Every second feed I would offer a smaller rodent and a few chicken necks rather than one appropriate sized rodent. You could try a
jungle on them as soon as it is large enough to consume a feed the size of the neck. I wouldn go buying 5 kilos of necks just yet tho as some carpets won't go for them. If you get them going on necks now it will be easy to get them on day old chicks when they are old enough.
