Klit - i feed them at night normally - mainly because its normally dark when i get home from work! I find the chicken necks normally take a bit longer to defrost as they are a pretty solid chunk of meat and bone so make sure they are nice and bendy and soft before feeding. I find in the big bags of chicken necks you can buy from woolies you will often get a few big ones and heaps of smaller ones so finding a few little ones to try first shouldnt be a problem.
Cheers,
Dave
