I don't think that snake die after feeding during the shedding process.
I am usually concern more about problem with shedding after this.
Some times old skin rips off around the bottom of jaw or neck and snake have trouble to shed properly.
That is why I don't like to feed during the shed.
To much work to shed snake skin bits after.
