We have two 4 month old bearded dragons which are handled around twice a week for cleaning. They are in a 4ft enclosure and have been since we got them at 1 month.

One is really relaxed and is not worried about me picking it up at all, the other one is crazy and sometimes is happy to be picked up while other times it will hunt my hand, try to eat my jewelery and even jump over my hand.

It seems to do it when it thinks I have come to feed it, when it realises there is no food it starts on the stunts.

I always try to remove this one first and if I think it's going to be a difficult day I leave it be and try again later. Sometimes it will only be a difference of 15mins and it's mood has changed.

I guess my point is they all have different personalities and sometimes you just have to work around there moods

Good luck
