Ive used a welding glove in the past and it worked quite well the worst part is having to handle them every night for at least 3 weeks just to get them used to being touched. Now they strike some times but dont even open there mouths because they think if they bite it wont even phase me. I'am experienced with pythons like your self and you will know that every python is different i've had pythons ive left settle for months and found that there still bitey and always made sure there conditions were perfect. but the glove has not failed me yet so its worth a try.
