at night with very warm hands...when the dragon is totally asleep
gentle but firmly(if they dont feel safe they will run)pick the dragon up & put on your chest
over your heart...make sure your clothing isnt too thick that it couldnt feel your heart beat
instantly....once the dragon is over your heart ,cup the hand that isnt holding the torso over its head
NOT SUFFOCATING IT!!!...cupping over the head
when they cant see...they are calm...or in your case..calmer
this may sound eccentric...but statrt by counting 30 seconds...then 1 min..then 2 minutes etc
dont put it back in the habitat until its calm....DONT PUT IT BACK WHILE ITS FLIGHTY
or its won!..its the master...you are not...simple
add time slowly...you have its life time of time
if after 2 minutes it has ceased struggling...then start to have cuddle time earlier in the day..not so late

only under the basking spot at head height should it be 38-40
the floor should be not more that 26 at the hot end there fore the cool end is about 23
maybe changing the type of light used..instead of a red....try a clear spot...it helps keep temp at one end
