The best way to heat a tub is to use a heat pad which is controlled by a probe thermostat. One third of the tub should be placed on the heat pad so that you have a gradient of temps (preferably 26 cool end, 32 warm end) from one side to the other. Heat should be supplied 24/7 for hatchies/juvies.

Edit: I see he's in an enclsure rather than a tub... what is the enclosure made out of and how big is it?
