Just got back and my poor jungle has an abscess near his cloaca which was drained and checked under a microscope. He's on a course of ceftazidime for a while. Hopefully the outcome will be good. He's still alert and active. The abscess does not seem to be affecting him (other than the swelling).

I was very pleased with his behaviour also. I've never had to manhandle him before and he didn't once try to bite, even while he was being prodded with a needle.

I'll keep him medicated, warm and clean
