It's a bad idea and i don't think anyone in Australia would do it. I'm sure someone has mentioned previously that his adults, or at least some of them, eventually ended up dieing or becoming ill due to using this method. A far safer option is to only offer heat for 4 hours each morning through Winter providing a basking spot of 32 degrees. I know of several people who have successfully bred Diamonds using this method.
