what should I do?

My spotted python has just had a shed today but she has still got a large section of about 10cm of old skin on her. apart from the last 2 sheds, she usually sheds clean in one piece but she has missed a full section this time that is right the way around her body like a sock. her last shed was also messy but she got it all off. I have tried the water mist and the shed help spray with a gentle rub but the skin seems to be very attached I don't want to damage the scales underneath by pulling it off. The rest that she has gotten off is in small pieces like a bluey shed, other then the dry winter air what could be causing this, she hates going in the water. She sheds every 50 to 60 days and she is over 1mt long.
Any other ideas to get it off?
dose it hurt to leave it there?
