As it gets cooler, it usually gets less humid. That's why we suffer from dry skin during the winter. I have had Stimsons that had shedding problems during the winter (I live in Alice Springs and we get single digit humidity during the winter). I've eliminated the problem by putting a container of water near their heat source. Beautiful clean sheds for the last 4 or 5 years now I'm only talking from an Alice Spring's perspective, this might not work as well where it's naturally more humid.
