Howdy guys, I chuck quails, rats and mice in a big bucket of hot water to defrost (out of the plastic bags) so their scents are all mixed. I think that way a snake won't get stuck on the one diet item?????? All of my snakes will take any of the above foods so if I run out of one or the other it's not an issue. I dry them off a bit on an old towel so stuff doesn't stick to them. A prey item consists of a fair percentage of water anyway so i don't know how beneficial the extra water ration on a wet item would be.
