Yeah, we get the coastal carpet adders battling for territory with the dingbats on my roof. they make a hell of a noise.

But in all honesty I cannot beleive the stupidity of some people. My mates mum used to kill any snake she finds anywhere near her, untill I made him hold my baby spotted and then (once he was a snake convert) told him to tell his mum that all native species are protected animals and she can face fines in the thousands and go to jail for hurting them... and that I'd be the one reporting her.

Shes stopped now, but more for the love of money than for the love of animals. I wish there was a way to re-educate people about our wildlife en masse. Even with the schooling getting better, we still have thousands of people already out of school who seem to have forgotten the respect due to our wildlife, and anything they might have learnt in science.
