I purchased a heat mat and cut the cord and placed this in the enclosure under the lights with the probe on top on off the news paper im using to cover the bottom of the enclosure. The thermostat is now switching off and when i measure the temp it is saying it is 33.2 degrees at the probe and 34.8 on top of the paper. The cool end is around 26 degrees. Are these temps going to be OK or should I lower them slightly.

It (having snake sexed this weekend) seems to be very active and likes to investigate everything when i get it out of the enclosure, does not seem scared or freaked out at all. Very very easy to handle, he came into work with me yesterday as i had a house inspection (SHHHHH no pets allowed at home) and he was happy in a click clack i knocked up the night before. He was handled by 6 or 7 people, did not strike or get scared at all.

Im very happy with the progress and Im intendng on giving it a feed tonight, its first feeding under my care. Yay exciting.
