It's a good idea if you're keeping small elapids such as Yellow-faced Whipsnakes, Swamp Snakes (particualrly juveniles) etc that won't take mice, rather than catching large amounts of (parasite infested) small skinks from the wild. Each season the young frogs can be culled (not sure how you would do this humanely?) and frozen for use throughout the rest of the season.
Breeding them for sale however, would most likely be against the law and more than likely unprofitable.
