Ether, if you are worried getting your snake out, you can get a retractable little snake-hook, they are btw. $10 and $20.
At least until you get a bit more confident, but in any case, they come in handy occasionally, especially after feeding. If you would feed out of enclosure, when you put snakie back, they are usually still in feeding mode and strike at anything. Just distract her with the hook near the head and pick her up by hand.
Also it won’t hurt too much getting bitten by a hatchie, just let her do it and when you realise it doesn’t hurt, you wont worry too much any more.
What ever you do, don’t pull away, you could pull some of her little teeth out and that could get infected then.
