a teacher at my school brought his pet snakes to school last year. he hasnt always been a teacher. he used to work at the australian reptile park. he was very careful to make all the children sit away from the snake and only people with notes from parents could handle his big placid diamond python. surprisingly i was the only one who braught a note.
