These are the sort of things I have thought of, most of which I am sure you have to, I haven't got anything like the animals you have, but it pays to be paranoid sometimes, and I am!

1.Microchips
2.Detailed photo's of the snakes, markings etc.. on some they can be as good as finger prints, particularly if they have any imperfections, make a note of everything.
3.Use a PO box number!
4.Give out mobile numbers instead of home no.(So they can't phone to make sure you are in or out!
5.Get a couple of big dogs, the bigger and uglier the better, I have a few mean buggers!
6. Good PIR alarms, good ones can be rigged to dial a phone number or mobile to let you know your house is being robbed!
7. Spread your viv's around between different rooms in the house if practical(Don't put all your egg's or snakes in one basket!)
8.Locks on glass doors, make sure glass can't be easily lifted out.
9. Tell your neighbors to give you a ring if they see anyone suspicious near your property(Depends if you trust your neighbors! LOL!)
10. Internal deadlocks on doors and good window locks(Obvious things!)
11. Only let trusted friends near your collection, or have two rooms, one for the stuff you want people to see, and one for your high value stuff!
12.Work from home like me, your always at home with your trusted 12 gauge, no one comes in! LOL! Just kidding a magnum's more my cuppa tea!
13.Barbed wire and machine gun towers are optional, but prefered! LOL!

Most of the above I have been doing, some I may have to implement or enquire more about, been looking in the yellow pages for 'machine gun towers', just can't find any! LOL!

Hope it gives you some more idea's, it's sad that you have to take these sort of precautions, but they are necessary in my personal opinion.
