No food for 3 months sounds cruel but believe me if she is VERY fat,then this is the only choice you have. Keep the heat up to her all winter which will mean she won't breed next year or leave it on for 2 more weeks without food and then turn it of to get her ready to breed which may help her lose some weight,but she sounds like she needs a diet one way or the other.
