Never leave live prey in with a snake.Even overnight is too long.
I have a couple fussy feeders that will only take live. I always ensure they take and kill the offered prey, I never just leave it in with the snake and assume it will eat it.
Unfortunately for this snake, it's owner had to learn the hard way.
