I agree with that of course, all I meant, it is best to be able to monitor the temp. in the enclosure easier, especially after feeding etc.
My Diamonds have heating only for 8 hours in summer daytime.
Less from now on, and always off at night and some times I throw a day or so in with lower temps even in summer.

Otherwise, if we just leave it just to fluctuations, we might as well have no heaters at all.
