I dont recommend the grabbing the snake behind the head treatment everytime it bites you. Thats like hitting your dog to teach it to be a good dog. It will just go through the same routine next time. Its going to hate you.
I usually hook the snake with my finger and then allow it to find its own position. No holding, just supporting.
As Sxe says. The biting doesnt hurt.
Some snakes are just not comfortable with people.
