Usual causes of rapid shedding are rapid growth and skin damage/injury (including mite damage). There are other unusual causes, but they're the main ones. If you have a good digital camera, take a photo in high resolution and post it. If your eyes are good you should be able to see mites on the snake if they're there.

When you say the covering over her eyes is slightly crinkled, exactly what do you mean? I've only seen this on blonde maccies and in the end I euthanased them. I'd very much like to know about this as I've never heard it from anyone else, despite a lot of asking around. Would you mind telling me who you bought the maccy from? PM me if you like.
