The vet was more than happy for me to be there. I was asking heaps of questions to which he was happy to answer. We were surprised to find that the gut was more or less attached ( stuck to ) the dermis. Not sure if that is the correct term. I didn't expect it to be like that but then i havn't been into any reptile like that before. He did three layers of stitches which should disolve in about 4 weeks. I think the biggest hurdle to get over now will be infection or shock in the short term. The anti-biotics i have been given is Baytril and will be injecting .2 ml every 2 days. I am hoping it pulls through. Whether it will be releasable again is another matter, but i think it's far to early to tell yet.
