Cape york pics

heres a shot of my second adult female.Shes not quite as bulky as the first shot i put up on this thread. But she has more stunning cxolouration.I dont know if use know much about the history of the undiscribed subspecies.Known as the cape york carpet python.I done a little reserch on them and they dont seem to be a true airboreil subspeceis like the coastal or say the jungle. After talking to the person that found the first speciman it was found on the ground and miles from any trees.and actuly so far every one found or at least the fdirst 6 or so were all found miles from trees.and to look at them they appear to have a body more like that of an olive python a semi airboreil.they have a longer ganglier neck and stouter body with a longer tail and most that i have seen are not prefishent climers.but are definetly a stunning looking python.I would be interested in hearing other herps veiw on the matter and there read on the subjct regards SHANE from aussie_pythons
