I kept mine indoors, mine had to be separate except for at breeding time as the male was a very agro towards his girl.
I knwo a few people who keep the inside in small groups without any problems.
I found them to very easy to keep and didn't do anything differently to any other bluey, except for keeping them a bit warmer.
